Maidenhair fern Kokedama have a 4 to 5 inch moss ball. The display plate is not included.
Gorgeous airy foliage that adds a lovely touch of fluffy texture to any decor setting. These kokedama need consistent moisture and do best hanging in a high humidity setting (ie. bathroom or kitchen) or in a terrarium.
CARE: Do not let the plant dry out! If the kokedama dried out, almost all the fronds will die. If you catch this quickly enough however, water, and prune all the fronds off. Keep consistent watering and fiddleheads will appear within a week.
Depending on your household conditions, it may need water every couple of days to once every couple of weeks. It is best to check the weight of the plant every couple of days until you can feel the weight change of the plant intuitively. Using a scale to determine optimum watering is an effective solution. This is a great bonsai for the plant parent that likes to frequently check on their plants as it does not thrive on neglect.
Water by letting the kokedama sit in a shallow tray of water or by submerging in water until all the air bubbles disappear. Do not let sit in water for extended periods of time.
Keep in bright indirect light. Direct light will burn the foliage.
Maidenhair Fern
Adiantum raddianum is one of the most popular indoor ferns due to its delicate lacy fronds that almost seem to float in the air. In nature, they are found growing near sources of fresh water and in the shade where constant moisture and indirect light are easily accessible. For optimum growth success, please try to mimic these conditions in your home.
