Tradescantia Zebrina Kokedama have a 4 to 5 inch moss ball. The display plate is not included.
The leaves are an attractive sparkly silvery mint with purple backs. For best colour displays, keep in a very bright location with evening or morning direct light. Lack of light will fade the patterns on the foliage and encourage the vines to grow leggy. With some direct sunlight, the colours may stress to pinks. Too much direct sunlight will cause fading of the stripes and more uniform hues of pink and purple. Enough light will allow the plant to develop small purple flowers.
CARE: Water when light by soaking the kokedama in water for 10 to 15 minutes. This kokedama is quite drought tolerant but optimum growth occurs when the soil is evenly moist. Do not let the plant sit in water or root rot will occur!
Ideal temperatures are within the 18 to 27C range. The minimum temperature for viability is 13C. They also enjoy humidity but are tolerant of most conditions.
Tradescantia Zebrina
Tradescantia zebrina are creeping and sometimes epiphytic vines that commonly grow on the surfaces of other plants or in between crevices. As such, they are particularly well suited to being grown in a kokedama and suspended with cascading vines or left to climb up a trellis or wooden board.
